My name is Ivanna Avalos.I created this website as an online component for an in-depth reporting story I worked on for my Senior Project taught by the Dean of the School of Journalism.As part of the course a group of 14 of my classmates and I were assigned to find and report on different stories in Port Jefferson over the course of two months. Aside from a creating a print version of our stories, the class has worked on ways to present their story across multiple media platforms. This is includes creating a personal website on individuals stories and a class website that presents all sixteen stories.
My story is on the emergency housing shelter, Pax Christi Hospitality Center and this website will have information on Pax Christi, which is located near the Port Jefferson train station.
